Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a surgery aimed to correct the appearance of the upper and/or lower eyelids, in order to obtain a rejuvenating effect.

The younger look of the face is most related to the appearance of the area around the eyes and cheekbones. One of the earliest signs of aging is the emergence of excess skin and soft parts in the region of the upper eyelid, accompanied by the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles on the lower eyelids.

After the blepharoplasty the eyelids become less bulky and lighter, so the eyes become freer. It is a simple intervention, that allows the eye area to be rejuvenated and, if necessary, it can be combined with other facial surgery.

INTERVENTION:

The average duration of the intervention is 40-60 minutes for the upper /lower region separately or up to 2 hours if the intervention occurs on the upper and lower eyelids at the same time.

Through small incisions on the skin or even on the inside of the eyelid, we can correct the manifestations of age, removing the excess tissues and modeling the area. The incisions are rapidly regenerated and the sutures are removed as soon as 5 days after surgery.

RECOVERY:

This surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia, both as an outpatient and inpatient up to one day. You can apply makeup to the treated area right from the first days after surgery. For one month it is advisable to avoid extreme temperatures (e.g. sauna, hot baths, etc.). The final results can be evaluated 3-6 months after blepharoplasty.

Upper blepharoplasty is the most common facial surgery performed in outpatient settings, without hospitalization, with a rapid and easy recovery.
