Cardiac imaging

Medpark Cardiac Imaging is equipped with high-performance medical equipment and investigative imaging technologies, including cardiac echocardiography, computed tomography, coronary angiography, and cardiac MRI.

These investigations are used in the diagnosis and monitoring of a wide range of heart conditions, including:
  • heart valve diseases (aortic stenosis, mitral insufficiency or mitral stenosis)
  • aortic aneurysms or other conditions of the aorta
  • cardiomyopathies (including dilated or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy)
  • coronary artery disease
  • heart failure or other heart function problems
Diagnosing these conditions is essential to identify problems in the early stages and to be able to take treatment measures in time
  • Cardiac echocardiography is a non-invasive imaging investigation that uses ultrasound to evaluate the structure and function of the heart. This allows us to visualize the myocardium, heart valves, pericardium and blood flow to and from the heart. Echocardiography can be used to diagnose heart conditions such as heart failure, mitral or aortic stenosis, cardiomyopathy, and more.
  • Cardiac computed tomography (cardiac CT) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses X-rays and allows an advanced examination of the structure, vasculature and function of the heart. Thus, the heart chambers, valves, ventricular myocardium, pulmonary and coronary veins and arteries, the entire aorta and pericardium can be examined.
  • Coronary and aortic angiography is an invasive procedure that involves the use of a special contrast agent and X-rays to create detailed images of the coronary arteries. This investigation is used to diagnose and treat blockage of the coronary arteries, which can lead to a heart attack.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive, objective imaging investigation that can provide 99% of the information needed to accurately diagnose heart disease and plan next steps. When standard investigations such as electrocardiogram or echocardiography do not provide sufficient clarity, the cardiologist or cardiovascular surgeon may request cardiac MRI.

Medpark Cardiac Imaging offers a wide range of diagnostic and monitoring services for cardiac conditions, using the most advanced technologies available, and Medpark imaging physicians have multiple specialties in cardiac imaging to provide the highest accuracy diagnosis. The information obtained from the investigations is the basis for planning personalized treatment, maximally effective for the patient, and the most complex interventions.
